The Governor, H.E Dr. Paul Outuoma graced the sensitization of members of the County Assembly on Participatory Integrated Community Dev (PICD), anchored under the National Agriculture Value Chain Development. The programme, which targets all the 35 wards in the county, is centred around agripreneurship to monetize around 145,000 households across the county.
To realise this through SACCOs/FPOs, my administration targets to avail quality farm inputs, marketing linkages, as well as advisory and financial services, through credit and grants. Seven extension officers have already been recruited in the first six pilot wards.
The move is part of the execution of my Ward-Based Economic Revitalisation agenda, which will be realised seamlessly through digitization of agriculture.
Speaker, Frederick Odilo, County Secretary, Oscar Juma, CECM for Agriculture, Dr Simplicious Mukok, County Assembly Majority Leader, Josephat Wandera, were among the leaders who attended the meeting.
