More than 90 teams are set to battle it out in Busia Governor Dr. Paul Otwoma Cup games.
The games which will kick off on Saturday 29th June 2024 and will be held in four different stations within the county.
The games which involve four games that is, football (men and women), netball, volleyball (men and women) and rugby.
The grand finale of the Governors Cup 2024 is slated for the Saturday and Sunday at the iconic Nambale Sports Complex.
This event, capping off a week sports saga, is more than a competition; it's a celebration of unity, talent, and community spirit.
From a robust lineup of over 90 teams participating in football, netball, and volleyball and rugby the tournament will have been narrowed down to sixteen finalists.
Governor Dr. Paul Otuoma, known for his fervent support of the event, will be in attendance, cheering on participants.
Efforts to make Busia a real logistic hub for East and Central Africa is gradually bearing fruits - thanks to the strategic investment of the Export Processing Zone (EPZ)and County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) at Nasewa, Matayos constituency, Busia County. The planned ground-breaking ceremony to be graced by H.E. the President, William Ruto is set for August 3, 2024.
